Häagen-Dazs : I love free Desserts

haagen dazs

I answered a question posted by our supplier during a group meeting and won Häagen-Dazs Voucher! I love generous suppliers! Yummilious!

Borders Shopping: I love shopping with Gift Cards.

I have a feeling my awards benefactors will flip if they know how I spend the Borders card.

Sephora Shopping: I love shopping with Gift Vouchers.

sephora

I bought a bunch of Mac and Sephora cosmetics (eye colours, blusher and lippie!) using the gift vouchers that my dear friends gave me for my birthday. I love Jack – guy at the Mac counter. He’s truly professional and has an eye for colours. He also patiently taught me the various techniques in applying eye shadows. Compared to the staffs mending the Sephora Cosmetics Booth, he was much more skillful. Let’s just say the Sephora staffs made me look like an abused victim while Jack brought sparkles to my eyes.

Thank you friends for the voucher! Thank you Jack for the advice! Thank you Jason for waiting patiently while I messed up my face with fancy colours!

Dinner at Pat Pong, Orchard Towers

Jane Thai Food
400 Orchard Road, Orchard Towers, #04-30

Jane Thai Food serves authentic Thai cuisine at the infamous shopping mall – The Orchard Towers. For the benefits of readers who are not familiar with Orchard Towers, it is a place which comes alive when dusk falls. A place filled with scantily dressed women, pot-bellied Caucasians and other variations of tourists and foreigners who were there for its seedy pubs, dodgy massage parlors and the you-know-what. It’s unofficially (by SbR) called Pat Pong at Orchard Towers.

Honestly, Jane Thai Food does not serve the best Thai food but it’s definitely one of the better ones that I’ve tried. Besides, dining is all about the total experience – food, service and ambience – and Jane Thai Food truly provided us with a unique experience.

Best of Blogshops.

Best of Blogshops
#01-62 & #04-52(A) Far East Plaza, 14 Scotts Road
Tel: 6836 9648.

This interesting shop which was recently featured on Weekend Today caught my attention. Newly opened (ok, I am a Noob, it’s not THAT new) in Far East Plaza, Best of Blogshops carries clothes from various local online blogshops such as Tracyeinny and Runway Bandits.

Headed down with an expectation to find some chic affordable pieces I was disappointed. Yes, the usual benefits of brick and mortar such as, ability to feel and try on the clothes, instant enjoyment of purchases and ability to mix clothes from various labels exist but the lifeless clothes on the rack and messy display drowned all initial excitement. I still very much prefer the comfort and liberty of shopping online in my pyjamas 24/7 and the excitement of receiving and ripping the parcels apart.

Food for Thought with the Girls

I love this food establishment! True to their words, they provide good food for a cause! I remembered they were one of the few cafes who readily agreed to participate in the Hearts of Hope project last year without much persuasion, really nice people!

food for thought

Besides being a social entrepreneur, they also serve excellent food! I love their affordable Special Set (consisting of a combination of sandwich and soup/salad at $11.90) and sinful but amazing desserts. To top it up, it was really cozy with awesome service!

Sigh, if only Aunty Sandra’s recipe comes in a box like Betty! Thank you girls for the post birthday celebration and the desserts!

The Proposal (2009)

proposal

It’s been a long while since I last catch a movie with a girlfriend! I love the movie! It’s funny, witty, heart warming and there’s certainly more depth than the usual chick flick! Did I mention Sandra Bullock is feminine, charming and absolutely sexy?

The Flintstones.

Mr and Mrs Bean dressed up as Fred and Wilma Flintstone while the Nobles were inspired by Barney and Betty Rubble for their slapstick double dinosaur wedding. The four good friends staged their own version of the classic children’s TV cartoon series as they tied the knot at Weston Park Golf Club, in Norwich, on Saturday.

Shopping in U.S.A.

Some friends have been asking where I got my wallet from at such a ridiculous discount. Here’s my secret. USAshoppingspree is based in Washington. It is set up by a Singaporean who is now residing in the United States.

We aim to bring you the best by conducting Sprees on popular American brands such as Kate Spade, Coach, A&F etc.

Smelly Kids.

You know when we say smelly kids, we are not bias against them, but really, they do stink. Here’s the revelation to their stinkiness. I hate smelly kids especially when they come in a bus-load all squashed up in a confined space. YIKES.

One in three teenagers shun a daily shower in favour of deodorant

A study of 11 to 19-year-old found more than two million (37 per cent) take the “shower in a can” option, using a deodorant instead of soap and water. And not only are they more likely to use perfume (57 per cent) and mascara (58 per cent) every day than they are to use a body wash or shower gel (51 per cent), more than half don’t wash every day.

Algae at Work

It’s been a while since I felt like a student working through the night on presentation slides. Hmph. Amandina, now I understand why you used to complain about how the smallest life form in the company always ended up doing the slides for their big boss.

At 23:42, I’ve barely started on the introduction slides.

Twelve is greater than Nine.

This is a crazy world. Twelve? I’m not good in sports but isn’t that almost enough to form a soccer team?

Do you know of any company that gives out chocolates to their employees in celebration of our nation’s 44th birthday? I do! Cause mine does! Not just a bar of chocolate but a box of twenty chocolates to each and every employee regardless of ranks or hierarchies. I love chocolate!
