Fireworks
I told you there were Fireworks at the wedding and I wasn’t kidding. The picture looks amazing! Their photographer – Alex Tan, from Penang Malaysia, is amazing too! Check out the pictures of Catherine and Ivan’s wedding at his blog here. You will be blown away.
Ivan & Catherine’s Wedding, The Andaman, Langkawi
So the main purpose for my recent visit to Langkawi was for Ivan and Catherine’s wedding and here are some pictures I grabbed off Facebook of her wedding! The bride requested for an unplugged wedding, which means, no cell phone and no photo taking to avoid photos taken from her photographer to look like this.
So, here are some of the pictures!
It was a terribly hot day and we all got burnt, but because of the glorious clear and bright day, all the pictures turned out beautiful! Yay! The wedding ceremony was held at the beach at 5pm and it was indeed a beautiful sight!
Colin, popsicles and paper umbrella save the day! Haha.
Dinner was held at 7pm at a beach deck restaurant. Look at all the pretty gift! The bride was nice to lug these gifts home from Bangkok and allowed her guests to pick one!
We all had a blast at the dinner which ended with 10 minutes of fireworks and a quick dance session! As the hotel has many retirees and guests who enjoys some peace, loud music was forbidden after 11pm. Boo!
After their wedding dinner, some of us proceeded to the lobby lounge for some quick chilling out. The bride was really sporty that night (not sure if it’s the alcohol!) sang the groom a song! Haha. Their friend also sang and dedicated a song to the couple. He is definitely not drunk but he was surely high and can sing pretty well.
Wedding at The Chambers, The Art House
We just attended Lydia and Keng Moh’s wedding last weekend, and being the first wedding that I’ve attended in 2014, it can easily be the wedding of the year! It is beautiful and the lovely bride put in great effort in personalizing and having many DIYs in her wedding. The best part? Her wedding is in The Chamber Room at The Art House! I’ve never attended a wedding there before and was really looking forward! Here are some pictures for you to feast on! Enjoy!

First Destination Wedding
I received Cat and Ivan’s Save the Date this morning and am all excited about their wedding! It will be my first destination wedding and the luxury resort that they picked made me really thrilled to be part of it! I see myself dressing up in maxi dress and beach sandals for their wedding! Another perfect excuse for a short getaway! Always welcome a beach holiday! Haha.

Wedding Banquet at Chijmes
Attended a wedding banquet at Chijmes last Sunday and love every bit of it! I’ve attended a church wedding at Chijmes before but this is my first time attending a Chinese banquet in Chijmes. The church is stunningly beautiful and I am in awe. It impressed me despite the second time here. It was a very cosy 20 tables wedding dinner right after solemnization and the food from Tung Lok was yummy.
I give them my sincere blessing that they will have a blissful marriage.
DIY: Postcards at Wedding
I’ve wanted to share about this post but I am a major procrastinator. There are probably hundreds of topics / ideas that I kept / bookmarked / saved in my phone for this blog, but it just didn’t happen. Haha.
Tim and Sue Ann created a set of postcards and gave them to their guests at their wedding banquet! Love this idea! Pictures are all taken by Tim of the places they visited together, aren’t them a sweet couple!
Sixth and Seventh Bridesmaid Duty
Sixth Bridesmaid Duty
Yes, it’s my sixth when CW got married in May!
Seventh Bridesmaid Duty
And when SA got married in June, it was my seventh!
Yay! Now 3/4 of SSSS group are married! We are all waiting eagerly for SQ’s turn in October! I can’t say for the rest, but I can’t wait to spend the rest of our live together as best girlies bitching about housework, husbands and having each other’s children as playmates!

Wedding Invites from SS.
SSSS met up two days ago and we received a pink and black bomb in a form of wedding invitation! I love pretty wedding invitations especially those that the brides put in effort to create! Here are two different but equally lovely wedding invites!
Sue Ann loves shopping. Tim loves photography. Now everyone knows with their pretty customized sticker! A simple and sweet card with a “Love Story – The Musical” theme.
On the other hand, Cheng Wei’s wedding invite is a classic, westernized and simple! Jason loves it. Haha.
Congrats again girls! Can’t wait for your wedding day!
Wedding Cards
I received six wedding invitations this month for weddings in May and June. Yes, SIX! There are two that caught my eyes and which I thought was really cute!
Here’s the one for Wei Yang and Sijia! They are both teachers and that explains the theme of their card design! What is cute is the signature at the end of their report card! God’s signature! Haha.
Love Alp and Phil’s wedding card! Totally adore it and love the vintage look too!
CW & Plumber
CW & Plumber got engaged! Congratulation girl! 3 of our SSSS girls are now part of the engaged club! Sue, when are you joining us?Read about their proposal here! Awwww.
Innards and Frogs.
A few days ago, I blogged about how creative the sisters are during Ivan and Janet’s gatecrashing! Here’s what we used during the gatecrashing! HAHA.
Ivan hates innards and so we made some pretty decent food for him! Chicken livers and hearts with different dressings! To our disappointment, the guys came late and we only managed to feed him the Lemon Chicken Hearts before the Janet’s aunt came rushing “It’s the Auspicious Time!”. BOO. He (Sorry, I’ve a sickening habit of saying He/His/Him when I really meant my beloved) better don’t be late during the gatecrashing!
The highlight of the games are these! His (Yes, my beloved again. I’m too random) relatives from the animal kingdom! We wanted to buy those tiny ones (not bigger than a ten cents coin) but the pet shop ran out of them so we had these which are HUGE (bigger than a 50 cents coin!) !
All the groom had to do was to put his hands in there, blindfolded and try to find those colourful plastic pebbles. Easy peasy!
Ivan and Janet II
Previously I blogged about the cute wedding invitation card that Ivan and Janet gave out for their wedding dinner, here’s their wedding invitation for their church wedding! Really pretty! I’m going to be their bridesmaid and it’s going to be the fifth time! OMG! I seriously hope Jason won’t be a runaway groom on our wedding day. HAH.
Ivan & Janet
The cute couple is getting married this May! Congrats! This couple is so sweet and so loving! Sweetest!
Cute wedding invitation from the cute couple!
